Gate, in terms of its functional nature as a threshold between inside and outside, and its conceptual nature as a projection from the inside, unlike the edge which is mainly the boundary between inside and outside, is a gap at the edge. We look at the entrance and the gate not only as a narrow line that we pass through but also as a space. It is a hybrid space that transfers us from one atmosphere to another.

Design Process

The beginning of the design process for us, regardless of the platform and its general form (slope and mountain), was not possible. In this project, instead of placing a gate in the entrance section, which is only functionally responsive, by referencing the context in the sectional view, we raised the road that reaches Soffeh Mountain in the entrance section with a reverse slope, entering through that hybrid space.

سردر چــه بــه لحــاظ ماهیــت عملکــردی اش بــه عنــوان محــل گــذر و آســتانه درون و بیــرون و چــه بــه لحــاظ ماهیــت مفهــومی اش بــه عنــوان پیــش نمــایی از درون، بــر خلاف لبــه هــا کــه عمــدتا مرزهــای قاطــع میــان درون و بیــرون هستند،شــکاف در لبــه اســت. ورودی و دروازه بــرای مــا نــه صرفــا خــط باریکیســت کــه از آن عبــور می کننــد، بلکــه فضایــی هیبریدی ست که ما را کم کم از یک اتمسفر وارد اتمسفر دیگری می کند. شروع پروســه طراحــی بــرای مــا بــدون توجــه بــه بــستر و فــرم کلی آن (شــیب و کــوه) امکانپذیــر نبــود. در ایــن پــروژه بــه جــای قــرار دادن یــک سردر در بخــش ورودی کــه صرفــا پاســخگو بــه لحــاظ کاربــردی اســت، با خوانــش کانتکســت در مقطــع، جــاده ای کــه بــه کــوه صفــه می رســد را در قسمــت ورودی با یــک شــیب معکــوس ارتفــاع دادیــم و مراجعیــن را از دل یــا زیر شیب به مجموعه وارد کردیم.
